So who is this baldy beardy guy?
I have worked in many roles ending with “Engineer” but currently enjoy the role of Machine Learning Engineer.
Software is much more about people than technology which is why I’m quite a fan of what’s expressed in the Agile Manifesto (and not so much of “Agile” being shoehorned into organizations).
Some more about me:
- I was born and raised in South Africa
- I’m a husband and a parent
- I love solving puzzles (fortunately a lot of these are in my job)
- I studied mechatronics engineering but transitioned into software (like so many engineers)
- I live on the outskirts of Amsterdam (and love many things about the Netherlands)
- I love beer and books, preferably combined with a beach chair and some sun
- Sailing in any form is awesome
This blog is an attempt to get me to practice writing more and finding a bit more courage in sharing my learnings/wisdom/failures with others.
